 MISSION STATEMENT

 The mission of The Northville Hearing Center Scholarship is to enhance the educational opportunities for those who demonstrate their commitment to learning by enhancing their future through a college education.

 

 GENERAL INFORMATION

This program was established to make an enduring contribution to our nation’s future and to make education funding accessible to the widest range of students possible.

Northville Hearing Center Scholarships may be used to cover a portion of educational   expenses, including tuition, living expenses, and other required fees during the 2009-2010 school year.  Scholarship recipients may use their award to attend any Michigan university, college, community college, junior college, two or four year accredited degree granting institution, or vocational training institution that grants a certification or license.

Northville Hearing Center determines the number of scholarships to be awarded annually. The current maximum award available per student is $500.00 (five hundred dollars).

Please note:  All applications and supporting materials become the property of The Northville Hearing Center Scholarship Program, and as such, will not be returned.   By submitting an application, the applicant accepts the conditions stated in this document.

   

  APPLICATION DEADLINE AND MAILING

 Please consider the time needed to mail your application.  To be eligible, completed     applications (along with your one page essay) must be received by The Northville Hearing Center Scholarship Program no later than April 2, 2009.   Applications may be mailed, faxed, or emailed (with Scholarship in the Subject line) to the addresses below.

Eligibility Requirements

  To be eligible to compete in The Northville Hearing Center Scholarship,

 ü            Scholarship candidates must be a resident of the State of Michigan.

 ü      Scholarship candidates must have, or will have completed a high school education or its equivalent on or prior to June 30, 2009. 

ü     
Scholarship candidates must not have been convicted of any misdemeanors or felonies.

 ü      Scholarship candidates must be enrolled at the time of receipt of the scholarship in an institution of higher learning.   This would include attendance at any Michigan university, college, community college, junior college, two or four year degree granting institution, or vocational training institution that grants a certification or license.

 ü      Applicants must submit their fully completed, signed application to The Northville Hearing Center Scholarship Selections Committee on or before the April 2, 2009 deadline.

Important, please note:

 Ø      Benefit determinations are made in a nondiscriminatory manner without regard to age, marital status, physical or mental disabilities, race, religion or sexual orientation, or national origin of the scholarship applicant.

          Ø      Scholarship Award(s) must be used for the 2009-2010 school year.  Northville Hearing Center awards will be paid directly to the college/degree granting institution on behalf of the scholarship winner.
